Located in Melbourne’s outer Northern fringe, Loongana is a set of duplex townhouses designed to balance a sophisticated modern form with the established neighbouring character.

Dominated by a monochrome palette, the architectural form is expressed through varying textures and lines. A solid brick base is capped horizontally by a bold concrete band, providing a base for the lighter upper floor whilst alluding a smaller sense of scale.

The external language is carried internally, with a strong focus on materials and textures that emphasize an appreciation of luxury. Both dwellings promote diverse living arrangements and have unique sets of characteristics, including multi-story living and raked ceilings, providing a creative response to current market trends and adjacent built form.
